There is something incredibly special about photographing a mother as she prepares to welcome another baby into the world. Every pregnancy tells a different story, and every growing family brings its own unique joy.
This summer, I had the privilege of photographing Mallory during her beautiful motherhood session in Westlake, Texas, just outside of Dallas–Fort Worth. As she prepares to welcome her fourth baby, we celebrated this incredible season with a session that perfectly reflected the heart of Texas.
A Golden Summer Evening in Westlake
July in Texas is no joke.
The evening brought soaring temperatures, plenty of humidity, and more mosquitoes than either of us expected. But as the sun began to set, the landscape transformed into the dreamy golden backdrop every photographer hopes for.
The warm light wrapped around the tall grasses while the Texas sky created the most beautiful glow. It was the perfect reminder that sometimes the most challenging evenings create the most breathtaking photographs.
A Timeless Western-Inspired Maternity Session
Mallory chose a classic western-inspired look with denim and cowboy hats that felt effortlessly elegant and authentically Texan. Her style was simple, timeless, and sophisticated—allowing the focus to remain on the beauty of motherhood.
One of my favorite things about maternity photography is creating images that won't feel trendy years from now. Instead, they become heirlooms that families cherish for generations.
The soft movement of her dress, the golden sunset, and the peaceful setting came together beautifully to tell the story of a mother preparing to meet her newest little one.

There is something especially meaningful about documenting a fourth pregnancy.
